Nari Ward. "Voice IV"
New York based artist Nari Ward created a set of sculptures titled The Voice Series which is his first public exhibition in the US. The sculpture above is Voice IV of The Voice Series. Ward was born in St. Andrews, Jamaica and was commissioned to create this set of sculptures for the opening of the West Harlem Piers Park in 2009. His sculptures are usually composed of found objects and materials reflecting themes of consumer culture, poverty and race. His website appears to be under construction.
