Jorge Luis Rodriguez. "Growth"
Puerto-Rican sculptor Jorge Luis Rodriguez created this sculpture that stands alone inside of Harlem Art Park. The sculpture stands at a height of 15 feet in the center of the small and hidden park. This sculpture is Rodriguez first large sculpture as well as being the first sculpture developed for the Percent For Arts Program. After its installation in 1985, the sculpture fell in disrepair until it was finally restored in 2010 but this time the sculpture became red than pink as it had originally been after consultation with the sculptor.
