Georg J. Lober. "Senator Robert F. Wagner Memorial"
Sculptor Georg J. Lober created this bust of Senator Robert F. Wagner that is permanently located in Wagner Playground nearby Wagner Houses at the corner of 2nd Avenue and 120th Street. Lober created several sculptures around New York City among them the Hans Christian Andersen statue located in Central Park and the George M. Cohan statue in Duffy Square in what many people consider Times Square. Lober also created a sculpture of Eve for the 1939 New York World's Fair and his sculptures are also located in Denmark. Lober was an apprentice of Gutzon Borglum whose work includes Mount Rushmore.
