Bruno Louis Zimm. "Woman's Health Protective Association Fountain"
Sculptor Bruno Louis Zimm created this sculpture by commission of the Woman's Health Protective Association to celebrate their 25th anniversary in 1909. The drinking fountain is backed by marble stele depicting two female figures holding a lamp. The benches on either side have the names of the members engraved who were suffragettes and members of high Manhattan society. Zimm is also well known for creating the Slocum Memorial Fountain in Tompkins Square Park.
