Artist Emory Douglas created this mural as part of a retrospective of his work titled Emory Douglas: Black Panther that was exhibited at the New Museum & The Studio Museum at Harlem back in 2009. Luckily, the mural still stands at the corner of Third Avenue & East 122nd Street to the side of the VIM Store. Douglas is widely remembered for being Minister of Culture for the Black Panther Party and for his extraordinary graphic artwork that was published in the party's newspaper and represented the struggle of the party from the 60s-70s.
