Located all along the side of Dag Hammarskjold Plaza is Katharine Hepburn Garden dedicated to the famous Hollywood actress. Hepburn was a resident of this area of Upper East Side. Missed by most people passing by is a turtle that is next to a fountain. The turtle appears to be a snapping turtle more similar to an alligator snapping turtle. An identical turtle sculpture is also located in Hippo Playground inside Riverside Park on the Upper West Side. There was no information as to who could have created this turtle.
