Historic American equestrian sculptor Henry Kirke Brown created this sculpture of the United States' first president. This is the first public sculpture and second equestrian sculpture in America since the imposed King George III sculpture during colonial times. This historic sculpture is permanently installed in the entrance on Union Square Park and continues to be the influence of many works or art.
