Gaston Lachaise. "La Montagne"
French-born American sculptor Gaston Lachaise created this sculpture which is graciously being exhibited at Tramway Plaza thanks to Frelinghuysen-Morris House and Studio as well as the Lachaise Foundation. Lachaise who was active during the early 20th century is noted for his female nudes such as this one, but mostly remembered for his Standing Woman. This sculpture, which is number two in an edition of five, will be on view from September 23, 2011 until April 1, 2012. More info: The Lachaise Foundation's website
