Sculptor Angelo Ziroli created this sculpture as a monument to the Civil War. The sculpture is known by many names. It was erected by Department of Michigan Woman's Relief Corps Auxiliary. The sculpture stands in Belle Isle in Detroit, Michigan and is part of the Smithsonian Institute's database of sculptures.
