Adolf von Donndorf. "James Fountain"
German sculptor Adolf von Donndorf created this fountain which is, I believe, the only sculpture of his in the US. This particular sculpture is of a drinking fountain which has lion-mask spouts on the sides that spit water into basins. At the top, there is a figure of a woman that stands for Charity and Temperance holding an infant and aided by a boy. The fountain is permanently located on the side of Union Square Park.

I write a blog about memorial drinking fountains and would like permission to use the close-up photo of this drinking fountain. I will, of course, credit and link back to your site. You can view my blog at http://memorialdrinkingfountains.wordpress.com
