Warren & Wetmore. "Hamilton Fountain"
The architectural firm responsible for Grand Central Terminal Warren and Wetmore constructed the Hamilton Fountain that serves as a memorial to Ray Hamilton. He was a descendent of Alexander Hamilton as well as a wealthy sportsman and politician who was involved in much scandal before the time of his death. His wife was a bigamist who had stabbed a nurse while attempting to steal a baby. The Alexander family did not want the fountain to be constructed but Ray Hamilton had left money aside for the construction of it. The fountain was in disrepair until water was used from a nearby building and plants were installed. At the moment, the fountain has gone into disrepair again.
