Claire Weiss Emerging Artist Award recipient Ruth McKerrell created a set of three goats that adorn the entrance of Fort Greene Park in the Myrtle Avenue district of Brooklyn. The sculpture picture here is Goatie Boy, the second of the three. The sculptures were originally made of styrofoam but cast in aluminum. The sculpture are made possible thanks to the NYC Dept. of Parks & Recreation and the Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership. They will be exhibited from June 2011 until June 2012.
