As mentioned on our October 1st post, the arts collective group Animus' sculpture was chosen by the Department of Transportation for their Summer Streets program. After having shown this piece as part of the Figment 2011 Sculpture Garden, it has now taken over Astor Place. Although the dates are not quite set, it appears that it will be present until June of 2012.. It was made possible thanks to NYC Department of Parks & Recreation and Figment NYC.
