9/11 Memorial's Statue of Liberty Sculpture

Today marks the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. As a way of ending our 4-day series, we present some photographs from the 9/11 Memorial Preview Site. All of these pieces including the Statue of Liberty draped in mementos to those lost in 9/11 will be placed in National September 11 Memorial & Museum. The Statue of Liberty sculpture is just like one of the many that abound the entrance to souvenir shops around the city so it has no specific sculptor. In the third photo, Leslie stands in front of a screen that shows various 9/11 memorials around the world, and in this case it is showing the Zurab Tsereteli's "To the Struggle Against World Terrorism" which was featured yesterday on our blog. We see this simple sculpture of Lady Liberty as a simple of hope.
